Study Question

Hey guys,

I want to apply for study in Canada for studies in the upcoming semester. The problem i have is i did my FSC in 2005 and then started doing freelance web programming. Started bachelors in 2006 but father got diagnosed with cancer next year so stopped studies. He passed away so I ignored studies and continued freelancing till now. I didn't have any plans to go abroad but recently my brother who's a British citizen came back to Stay in Pakistan with a very high paying job and offered to fully sponsor me if i want to do bachelors in Canada. He also have a canadian citizenship approved but hasn't lived in Canada.

Reading around, I am having doubts if i'll get a visa due to the gap in education but I would still like to know what sort of chance and options i have. I can show property in Pakistan if that'll help.

So any help would be greatly appreciated.

A Statement of Purpose mentioning the reasons for gap. But since you weren't completely free (per se) I'd suggest you to just briefly address the subject in your SOP and choose you words in a way that it emphasizes on the fact that you were employed in some sort of way. Property can be helpful to show ties with your home country but useless if you submit it as proof of funds as they require liquid assets. Your case is simple and straight forward, dont complicate it for yourself !
