I have always been a good student and secured higher first divisions throughout my academics. I scored 70% and 80% in 10th and 12th grade from the CBSE Board, respectively. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Arts from Gargi College, Delhi University, with a score of 53%, in the year 2006. Further, I pursued MBA (Marketing major) from Amity University, Noida passing it with a glorious CGPA of 7.2 in the year 2008.
On completion of my studies, I joined an event management company, Aucky-A Complete Affair, as a management trainee which exposed me to the dynamics of service sector. My work involved organizing various events that bought with them the opportunity to work and interact with various kinds of people. This was a distinctively gratifying experience which helped me to learn the requirements of a professional environment. After my one year training with ‘A Complete Affair’, I joined LPS Bossard Pvt. Ltd, Rohtak, a production company, as a Marketing Executive in their Sales and Marketing Department. I did some very interesting work here which involved co-ordination and monitoring with the team members as well client satisfaction.
My work experience made me realize that in order to break through the glass ceiling I needed more competencies in the sectors of international marketing, logistics and finance. I am aware that to succeed in the cut throat competitive environment, apart from my existing knowledge, I would require specialized skill set in services and trade management combined with an in-depth exposure of global business markets.
The International Trade Management program at St.Clair College is a specialized program which will provide with multi-skilled tools required in the ever challenged field of International Trade. The innovative curriculum and professional faculty will help me learn about International finance, logistics, global trade and marketing. After doing a lot of research, I found out that Canada places a great importance on learning and has developed a first rate education system with high standards. I feel that a Post Graduate diploma program in International Trade Management at St.Clair College, Canada, will be the most logical extension of my academic pursuits and a major step towards achieving my objectives.
The traditional skills taught by MBA programs are still necessary but aren’t sufficient. After graduating from this program at St.Clair College, Canada, I will be ready to lead and adapt in the rapidly evolving global markets and further utilize this cross-cultural expertise which will set me apart from my peers. Such a program is not available in India and also, the fee is quite competitive as compared to other countries. India is a growing economy and has become base for most of the multinational companies. This program would act as an extra edge with a better understanding of international markets and trade relations. Most of the multinational in India prefer a specialist for performing a strategic task. Moreover, acquiring this knowledge from a global campus will further help me in my career and I will be able to join a good multinational firm. After careful research and study I have chosen to do this program in Canada.
A sympathetic consideration of my student visa application is requested.
Thanks and regards,
