As i said majority of cases with gap of more than 2 years even with a valid reason don't get visa. Although sometimes cases with 3 years are still excepted by the embassy. I am saying this as i have been working in this area since 5 years.

My experience/understanding has been different so far. In this forum itself, several successful cases are documented, even at first attempt. I remember an extreme one to be 17 years!!! And plenty other examples of 5 yrs or more. I personally know 3 cases with more than 3 yrs gap, all nailed in first attempt.

I honestly believe it is lack of documentation than study gap itself causing the damage. That's just my view though...

That's little bit mistaken. It is not that rare as it seems from your post. You just need valid explanation of the said gap.

I think so, lets wait till to get the letter of explanations. I have talked to canadian study group in singapore and they said, ielts wouldnt be problem , we have to wait.

you have a long study gap that is of 5 years and canada accepts of only 2 years max with relevant work exerience, only in rare cases they grant visa for people with more than 2 years gap,

Why don't you accept the study gap more than 2 years for Masters Program???

Ideally, no one should accept the study gap for undergraduate courses but for Masters study gap should be accepted. Masters degree is optional, anyone can do Master or not as per their need whereas bachelor degree is enough and important first to get a job. People want to take higher education for their careers or for further research. In Maximum multinational company promoted those who have Masters degree (specially North American Masters Degree), performance is not enough to get promoted to higher ranks.

A bachelor degree completed person needs a couple of years to build a career path first, and then they try to establish that career and when career path would have been decided then that person will take action to earn a degree in related subjects for a glorious career, global image. I strongly say that this is not a study gap, it's a period where you found your ultimate goal and Masters degree adds value at the career to success in your right career.
