Study permit with spouse and dependent

To apply for study permit with SDS program, the requirement of GIC is 10,000 CAD, but if someone is applying with spouse and children, either the applicant require to get GIC of 17000 (40,000+4000+3000) or for spouse and children bank statement will serve the purpose.

GIC is unnecessary but the savings to bring spouse and child is not an rxact amount for most provinces. CIC will look to see if they feel you have the finances to support your studies and your family based on your tuition plus cost of living in the area where the school is located. More applications for families seem to be approved for advanced degrees like masters and PhDs.

Thank you for response, do we require to have one year financial proof or for two years.

Hi, please can you advise as per the application. Do i fill in visitor-All others , visitor- Tourism or study- more than 6 months for accompanying dependent children under 18yrs. Because it refuses to continue if i fill in visitor and if i fill in study it asks for Acceptance letter for the kids. Pls help advise. Thnx
