Hello everyone my visa got rejected so I would like to have some advice to overcome my rejection reasons !

MY PROFILE :

O levels : (all 70% up)
A levels : (all 70% up)
IELTS ACADEMIC SCORE : 7.5 [Listening : 8.0] [Reading : 7.0] [Writing : 7.5] [Speaking : 7.5]
FINANCIAL SPONSOR : BROTHER PR in CANADA (Parents showed property but did not show any bank balance)
APPLIED TO : Seneca College (Diploma IT program) (1st semester fees paid)

I applied to Seneca College for Fall 2016 session and got rejected my visa for the following reasons :

*You do not have sufficient and financial resources, without working in Canada to pay the :
1) tuition fees.
2)living and accommodation.
3)transport expenses.

*You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay :
1) Travel History
2) Family Ties in Canada and in country of Residence
3)Purpose Of Visit
4)Personal Assets and Financial Status

CAN ANYONE HERE KINDLY ADVISE ME HOW TO OVERCOME THESE ISSUES TO THE VO ? I will re-apply next year but I am taking preparations now.
THANK YOU !

That really sucks :/ Sorry it was refused.

I'm no expert or anything but I'll do my best. My sister was my sponsor and my parents only showed property as well. I'm still waiting for a decision but i have a friend whose visa was approved with a similar profile.
Firstly did your brothers bank account show enough to pay the rest of the years tuition + 10000CAD for living expenses and enough for flights etc? That balance needs to have been in there for a couple of months and your brother needs to have a stable income that can continue to pay tuition fees in the future. That plus a notarized sponsor letter and a letter from your parents saying they're willing to sell their property (IF they have more than one) if an emergency arises should help with the finances.

I cant really help with the travel history but I guess a very strong SOP is needed to tackle the second refusal reason. You need to convince the visa officer why you're going to go back home when your brother is a pr in Canada. Talk about your family back home, opportunities in the industry, any job offers if you have any, property in your name. Also why do you want to do the program youre doing? Why in Canada and not at home? How is doing that specific program going to give you an edge when you return? Also why a diploma in IT when your grades are clearly good enough to do a full degree in the IT sector. It might look like youre looking for the shortest program to complete so you can enter canada with the intention of becoming a PR or citizen.

This is all I can think of right now but I hope that helped! Good luck for when you re apply!

Thank you for adding those points.

Yes, I am considering to apply to Universities. I wanted to know whether if I apply to a different course eg. (business degree) will it be any problem for me since I previously applied for IT profession ?

I do not have any personal assets on my name. I did show an afidavit of support from my parents that If I am in need, property will be sold.

About travel history, In my old passport I had visas to Singapore and Malaysia. However I didn't submit them. Do you think I should show those visas in my old passport this time?

Finally, I wanted to know that can you please give me a good idea or estimation about how much money I should show for my tuition and living?
And how much time I should keep that money in the bank? Should FDR a better option?

I would really apprececiate your support.
THANK YOU :)

Yeah switching fields might be a problem because they might think you're looking for any way possible to get into Canada so school is just a means to an end. Rather stick to your field, write a strong SOP for that then switch majors later on in your studies if you want. I'm sure there's no rule against changing your mind once you have a visa.

Yeah if I were you I'd plug all holes and submit all my old passports if you're using the paper based option and explain briefly that these were tourist visits i guess.

Well I'm not quite sure what FDR stands for but if your tuition is lets say $20000CAD and you've payed a semester (i.e $10000CAD) + the 10000CAD for living expenses and maybe $5000 for travel etc... A good minimum would be around $25000 to show. Then you make you've attached a receipt for the $10000 payment made to the school. This is just an example, work with whatever fees you have obviously xD

You also have to show that the money has been there for roughly 3 months or was close and increased to that figure (within reason) in 3 months. It has to be an active account showing that your sponsor is putting in enough to sustain you for the years to come as well.
It looks good to have sorted out residence too.

Again I'm not an expert, just offering my two cents. Which means i might have made a mistake in my replies. I hope that helped though. Goodluck!

Thank you so much.

Yes, I'm thinking of sticking to IT and applying for Computer Systems Degree at University this time.

Additionally I am thinking of parents as my sponsor this time.

I am just giving a solution to my each point of rejection, please observe if i stand correct.

Tuition, accommodation, travel fees : Solution : Showing bank statements of 8 months of fixed increased finance in bank.
Travel History : Solution : Showing my old passport tourist visa, also trying to visit new countries before applying.
Family ties in Canada and in residence : Solution : Showing in my SOP that my purpose is for increasing my education for better career in my home.
Purpose Of Visit : Solution : Getting admitted to Computer Science in Undergrad University
Personal Assets and Financial Status : Showing increased money in bank account.

Do you think my solutions have overcome my rejection reasons?
Please suggest me if you have more solutions.
Thank you !
