I am on a visitor status in Canada and plan to enroll in a college for one year graduate certificate , I am from India
but since i am already in Canada Can i apply for Visa at VAC LA without going in person , if yes can i do it online or by mail.
Also is it important to have medical done , can i do the medical from canada.

Hi,

We work with Indian Students at our College.

Basically you can apply for a (extended) 1 year Visa here as long as your current Visa is valid but you need to submit all the proper paperwork and yes it can be done online.

The instructions are on the CIC website.

What type of Course are you thinking of doing?

i am a pakistani national and i am in us on a visitor visa, i would like to apply student visa of canada. i also have valid visa for canada expiring next year. i also like to apply from here in us from LA office. i am travelling to canada next month and i want to get admission in canada and want to apply student visa from canada without living the country.

Hi,

So if your on a Tourist Visa and CURRENTLY in Canada than you can apply for any 1 Year Program.

1. You have to submit a NEW Visa Application for Study Permit and Work Permit (if your Course includes a Work component),

2. Applications can be done Online as per CIC website Rules and Process,

3. Extended - What I meant was you apply for a New Visa (Study) to extend your stay here in Canada, you have to of course meet all the requirements,

4. The Requirements are at least some level of Proof for English at usually 4 to 5 or higher IELTS score or equal Cambridge. TOEFL Score and/or valid Transcripts from India (some Indian Colleges and Universities are recognized to Canadian equivalent, most are not but as long as you have a record of your schooling that's more important),

5. After your Course you can than apply for an additional 1 year work permit.

Our College is in Vancouver and we offer Study with Paid Full Work Co-ops.

You are not eligible to apply for SP inside Canada if you are on a tourist visa.
