hey guys, I have a visa question that has been stressing me out for a while. The situation is like this:

I am graduating at the end of April 2019, all my courses and exams are approximately done on April 22, 2019. Not sure when will all the final grades to be posted.
My study permit is expired on April 29, 2019. I will apply for work permit after my graduation.
My question is, do i need to extend my study permit so that it is still valid until I start apply for work permit? Because what I know is that I will need a valid study permit in order to apply for a work permit. And I am not confident that I can get all my grades posted and get the school letter before April 29. Is it necessary for me to extend my study permit until for example July 2019 or something?

I apologize for my poor explanation. Thank you for taking time to read my question!

Yes extend it for 3 months after finishing classes.
So it should be the same process of extending study permit as normal situations? Like I need to extend it 3 months before the study permit is actually expired?
Thank you for telling me though :)

It is called a bridging study permit, best to talk to your school about it, I think there is a letter of explanation you have to include. Apply 3-4 month before it expires and request it to be 3 months longer than your studies completion date.

Got it!! Will go talk to international student centre and see what do I need to prepare for that.
Thank you again!
