Hi all,
I'm planning to do a 1-year postgraduate certificate in Canada. My sponsor has already paid for my full tuition and GIC.
I have been working for 1.5 years full time and I have invested most of my savings into the stock market. As of today, I have already sold all my shares and the cash (some CAD 20k) is now in my investment account with my broker. I do not intend to buy shares again until I have completed my studies in Canada.
I have a few questions regarding using this as my proof of funds:

I have a few questions regarding using this as my proof of funds:
- Should I transfer the cash back to my savings account to show that the money is readily available?
- What supporting documents do I need to submit with my application to show that the money is legitimate and has been under my name for the whole time?
- Would the visa officer red flag this if I sold my shares at a 20% loss?
