Hi,
My husband and I applied together for a study permit for him and a spousal open work permit for myself.
His application was approved within 16 days, but mine hasn't been reviewed yet. Anybody else in the same boat?
We applied on Oct 2, 2022 from Israel, for Jan 2023 intake.
He is Israeli and I am Indian.

Your applications do not have to processed together. Look at processing times (google IRCC processing times) for your country for work permits and see what it is.

The applications are processed separately and this is quite normal. SOWPs often do take longer.

Thanks. The processing times are similar (13-14 weeks) but thankfully he got SP in about 2 weeks. Hoping mine will come through soon as well!

13-14 weeks for an SOWP? Believe current processing times may be longer unless they gotten faster recently. Posted processing times are just estimates and unfortunately often incorrect.

Well, it's gone up to 15 weeks today, I see, for applications from Israel. But still, more or less in the same range. Also, on various Facebook groups, I am seeing people who applied in September 2022 get their PPRs in October. Someone who applied on September 30 got their SOWP today-- in about three weeks.

is it just for approvals? My sibling and her husband got rejected in less than 2 months. Together.
