Study Permit Restoration Canada

Hello People, Someone please help me out.

I applied for my restoration of study permit within the 90 days and had no idea of what it actually was, since from my international student office I was told that its an extension and with the "implied status" I can continue studying. And I did continue studying. Since it was taking too long, I called the CIC call centre agents and asked them whats going on after I finished my fall term, Then they said that It takes 16 weeks to process, and when I asked them about if its ok to continue school for the next term, he told me that I canNOT continue to study or to work while a restoration is in process. I was SHOCKED and got SCARED because I was told something else from my international students office.

I submitted original transcripts, certificates of enrolment etc. online. And I explained the agent the situation I got into, The agent advised me not to study anymore and to provide evidence that I am not studying anymore and write CIC a letter explaining the situation. Given circumstances, officers can and do consider such situations. Thats what i did, I dropped my winter term courses, took another transcript that shows that i stopped studying and dropped winter term classes.

This was my last semester that I dropped and I explained properly to CIC about the matter.

Do you guys think they will consider my explanation and give me a positive decision ?

Experts please help.

Your school was wrong and CIC is right. There is no implied status with restoration applications because your status as a student has already been lost. Without implied status, you have to stop studying - so it's very good you did that.

I don't know if CIC will approve your restoration request. However since you applied within the 90 days, then should approve it.

Yes man! I hope they approve it. I have one more semester left. It will be really hard on me if they refuse my request. I wasnt trying to hide anything and have been really transparent about the matter.
