I just received the rejection letter for my study permit saying that
You are not a person described in Immigration Legislation who can apply for this type of
document from within Canada. An application of this type must be made at a Canadian Visa
office in another country.
I felt confused about the reason because I was not in Canada while applying for the study permit. Below is my timeline.
Left Canada on Dec 2nd
Arrived China on Dec 3rd
Submitted online application on Dec 5th
In the form of IMM1294E of my application, I have put China as my current country of residence. I also have the entry visa stamp of China on Dec 3rd. So I can prove that I was in China (NOT CANADA) when I submitted my study permit application.
Since my school registration deadline is Jan 16th, I would not have enough time to resubmit a new application. Is there any way I can have my case to be reconsidered? Any advice will be appreciated...
