bro me is the person with same problem my visa rejected due to same reason but one thing favored me that i am an employed in Doha Qatar and company gave me a leave letter for one year also they mention that i will re-join so i re-submitted my application

but your case is little bit different and i have no idea which document will support you
you can check immigration agent/ lawyer in your city who process the student visas and knows the rules and regulations

Hi All :)

I'm sorry I didn't reply previously because I had sort of lost hope in this topic. I think I have it all cleared now.

I will be resending my application and making these changes:

1. My parents will not be accompanying me.

2. I will be adding property details, etc. - Proof that I have something to look forward to going back to my home country.

3. A letter from my relative stating that he/she will be supporting me along with my parents.

4. A letter to the immigration officer, explaining why I chose Canada and emphasizing that I have no intention of violating the terms of my study permit. - I think this is very important.

5. Fresh papers from the Uni saying that I now have full and not provisional acceptance and that they look forward to me joining.

I think that's all that is needed in order. I had a friend who applied for London and was rejected and she APPEALED and now she's on her way to going there. :)

For the people who have been waiting for 3 weeks or more... Give it some more time. Mine took 5 weeks and they didn't call me, e-mail me, fax me and neither did they take any phone calls or e-mails.
I think the wise thing to do now is wait it out. Also it will be a good idea to call your courier company and confirm if they have added a return airway bill.

I hope everything works out fine for all of us ;)

Hey Stern.

I am Zain, 18 just completed my grade 12th living here in Kuwait. I applied for my study permit on June 3rd. Did not get any response yet. The difference btw your application and mine is just that I have applied for only my visa and not my parents. At first even i was thinking of applying for my parents so that they would see me off. But then something striked me and got a feeling my visa might get regected as this just makes it possible for them to understand that I am planning to live in Canada for good.

I also am not planning to stay at any hostel or hotel. Ill be there with my couzins for a few months and then shift to somewhere else.

Can you let me know if you had mentioned in your application that you will be visiting any relatives?

Ill also tell you that there is a difference btw the supplementary form we get now and the supplementary forms we used to get a few months back.

I hope everything goes well for me and you both. Which college will you be attending there? will keep you posted.

Hi Zain.
Yes, I did mention in my parents application that they are going to visit relatives, but I did not IMPLY that they are going to stay with me. In fact, I even added bookings of their plane tickets which shows that they will be returning back on a date.
I think the mistake I did was that I made a Multiple Entry Visa for them. I thought that if something happens to me then they can come right away. I mentioned the Multiple visa was done in case of family emergencies.
Anyway it doesn't matter now because they are not coming with me.

Wait it out for 5 weeks. Don't worry. Hopefully something should come up in time, providing that your paperwork is fine and you have sufficient funds. I am confident that you will get it :)

An affidavit is a paper from a lawyer. It's hard to explain for me... Kind of like he verifies that whatever you're signing is the truth, there are no falsehoods and he will oversee it. It's kind of like a guarantee like a Government stamp.

You need to show links to your home country. I think the best way you could do this is if you fish up some property papers or a will or something which shows that the property will come on your name or your mom's or dad's name. Also if you have rented a house and you are paying rent, it would be a wise idea to add some rent bills there. I don't know if you have a 'ration card' in Bangladesh. If you do then you can make a photocopy of it. Translate the wording in a note the best you can and attach it as well.

Also write a letter to the Visa officer explaining the matter to him.

Hopefully it should work oout. Good luck.

If it makes you feel better, my friend applied for London and hers was refused, but she got it back and she's going to be leaving in a few days. I'm not really a visa officer to answer this question. Just put all the papers right and wait for a response. I have personally not heard of chances becoming any slimmer. It's written on the refusal letter that the application is CLOSED and you can resubmit if you want, provided that you have SUBSTANTIAL new information.
