Hi. I had applied for a study permit on nov 14. My medicals were updated on nov 27. I received a refusal stating the following.

I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

How do i go about rectifying it? Also since thats the only reason stated does that mean my supporting documentation was fine? Would the reapplication process be faster? Please help ASAP

The fact that your application was refused on one ground only means that you still have a chance and I would say you will likely pass the next time if you convince the migration officer that you will leave Canada.
Talking from experience, my first application was refused on the same ground. So I applied again and wrote a letter of explanation that in it I gave reasons that tie me to my country. Usually applications get rejected within 14 days . If it goes beyond that then likely the application will pass . Now it’s been over a month since I applied so I hope I woll pass.
My advice is to reapply again but write a letter of explanation and respond to the migration officer’s concerns.
Good luck ..

Get CAIPS note to know the full details of your refusal so that you can address it properly. It may be that your intended program may not be relevant with your past studies or current work experience, therefore the VO did not recgnize you as a legit student.

I have done a short 3 month certificate course in the same field but due to my limited knowledge i cant move up the career ladder which i explained in the letter. I have worked as a computer technician for 2 years now. I included all my work documents too. I also mentioned that we owned property here in India which shouldve provided strong ties to home country. The reason i was refused to me is the silliest thing ever. If i applied for a study permit then it means my purpose is to study. I have all the funds needed so i dont have to work there.

It is better to get CAIPS note. The refusal you received was just a generic template which may be used for different reasons. The CAIPS note will include the full details of your refusal.

Is it possible to upload one additional document to already submitted application?

Actually my cousin wants to submit her letter of explanation as she forgot to upload.

Its is not possible. You can send it via WebForm but no guarantee it will be considered.

The visa officer is not convinced that you will return to your country. It means that you may have not included info about enough family ties or a future plan about what you will do with the studies that you will complete in Canada. There may be other reasons but for that you need to order your GCMS report.
