Hi... My study permit was refused after 4 weeks, I applied in November 2017 got rejected December 2017. I am from Jamaica and I would like some advice on reapplying for a study permit. Just some information on my history and the documents that I have submitted.
I completed an associate degree in Business administration in 2015, before that I achieve 8 subjects in CXC in Range 1's and 2's only. After graduation I have worked in hospitality for the past 2 years has a receptionist. I applied to memorial university to complete a bachelors in Business administration and I got accepted. I also received transfer credits from my previous degree.
My application was was refused on the following grounds;
"You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors including; (the following were marked)
1) Travel History
2) Family ties in Canada and in country of residence.
3) Purpose of visit
4) Personal Assets and Financial status
The documents I submitted were;
* My associate degree and CXC results along with my diploma from High School.
* My police record
* Banks statements totaling 14000 USD and a letter of sponsorship from my older sister because she had agreed to be my sponsor. She owns her own business but I did not submit any documents supporting that.
* A job letter showing my current employment.
*Acceptance letter from Memorial university.
* I am also currently engaged and I submitted a Statutory Declaration of common law union.
I have requested CAIPS notes but it will take some time to get to me but I would like some advice in the mean time. I know it is long but thanks for reading. Just to note as well I have never traveled outside of Jamaica and I also noted in my application that I got rejected for a Visitors visa for the USA, reasons were not made known.
