Hello. I'm a student at University of Alberta. My student visa expired 2017 October. I failed my last year at the university because of bipolar disorder but the school approves to readmit me one year later. However, my student visa was rejected and I overstayed in Canada for being too sick.
I got home country's doctor's notes and a Canadian doctor gave me medicine in October.

Now it has been almost 8 months since I left Canada. But my student visa has still been rejected.

What should I do?

I found on the forum that overstay is not a death sentence and I definitely get a chance to go back. I just need to give them good reasons and explain my overstay. Is this right??

How long was your overstay? How many times has your study visa been refused now?

There was a 90 day restoration period after the refusal letter. And after the 90 days, I stayed for another 15 days.

There were 4 times refusal. However the first 2 times are my faults. I didn't even prepare well for reapplying.

Only the last 2 times are well prepared, but refused for purpose of visit, which I fully understand that vo would assume I'll overstay.

I hired an agent at home country but she fails to explain my disease and give all necessary evidence.

Will giving all my doctor's notes and med record be helping my case??

Thanks!

Thank you for your valuable input. Yes I understand. My previous agent informed me on the immigration law. But my 2 refusals were after the 6 month period in my home country. The reason was purpose of visit.
Now I hired a new agent from iccrc and she seems very professional and knows what she does. She suggested I get all documentation on my diseases and doctor's note. The overstay period was a really dark time in my life, and the disease indeed affected my ability to act properly and timely. Hope they'll understand my situation and my honesty will be rewarded this time.
