This is a refusal reason I received from IRCC for my study permit “Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself(and any accompanying family member(s). If applicable)” I a receiving sponsorship from my Uncle. The available funds for my travel is 50,000 but my sponsor has about 70,000 in savings plus some stock investments. My first semester's tuition is already paid in full.

How much did you show in funds in our own name?

Generally speaking, IRCC doesn't accept uncle's as sponsors.

From past posts, you are in your mid-20s and your uncle is your sponsor. You were advised in previous threads that his funds may not be considered, and you may be refused for that reason. So how much in funds did you personally show in your personal bank account?

Are you single? How long is program?

That's insufficient to cover your living expenses, travel expenses and your remaining tuition for your first year. This is why you were refused.

my remaining tuition will be covered by him, the CAD 20,453 is just for my living expenses alone. I am single and my program is 1 year

As explained previously, IRCC generally doesn't accept uncles as sponsors. Can your parents show the funds instead?

Some people get lucky.

You can certainly try applying again however it would be best if you can increase your savings.

Please be aware that a one year program in Canada will not give you a strong path to PR.

You are not even showing the minimum amount for the proof of funds and you cannot afford your tuition. Your uncle is not considered an immediate or extended family member and could pull funds at any time. Canada is cracking down on the number of study permits so if you really want to study in Canada then show your own funds.

Don’t count on PR either with a one year program. Not even students who graduated with Masters and have a 3 PGWP are getting PR.

Other big issue is your uncle is not in Canada. There may be a higher chance of approval if your uncle lived in Canada.

My Uncle is a US citizen. how about that?
He still isn’t a Canadian resident. Being a Canadian resident doesn’t guarantee approval but there does seem to be a preference. How old are you? At a certain point IRCC expects you to pay for your own education. What program are you wanting to attend and where?

Okay I really need help on how to process this. this is my 3rd application. My parents can't fund my education. I am unemployed, I haven't had any job since graduating. My Uncle is willing to fund it. he's been funding since junior high. How can I solve this problem. kindly give me specifics.
