Hello everyone!
Just wanted to share my experience with all of you regarding my Study Permit.
A bit of background of my profile:
Bachelors of Law (H) - 60.55%
13 backlogs and a year back. Had to repeat my first year due to lack of credits.
IELTS Score of 8.0
Alternative Dispute Resolution certificate program at Humber (Winter 2018)
I worked very hard towards my IELTS and scored a nice 8.
I consulted a quite famous consultant in New Delhi. They outrightly rejected my profile whilst stating that I have one too many backlogs in order to get a visa. Lost some hope for a while but I didn't give up. (They advised me for NZ lol)
Gave up on the consultant and did everything on my own.
Went ahead and studied the whole application process and filled everything on my own (including the SOP which I did not get checked by anyone). Paid the fee and submitted my application to my nearest CVAC (VFS Delhi) on the 27th of October, 2017.
Got a mail from VFS on the 1st of November that my passport had been processed and the same was available for collection from VFS.
Went on the morning of the 2nd and opened the dreaded sealed envelope. Very pleased to see an approved study permit stamped within the folds of my passport.
My advice to anyone reading this is that only you have your best interests in mind. Please do not rely on what any godforsaken consultant has to say regarding your profile or background and lastly, try doingeverything on your own.
I am open to any queries and I am more than happy to help anyone out
PS: I am looking for some cheap shared accommodation near the Humber Lakeshore Campus. Hit me up if you feel like
