Here is the situation:
-) We (my wife, my daughter and myslef) are French nationals living in the US under work visas
-) My daughter started last year (September 2023) at Concordia University in Montreal (she got the CAQ and the study permit w/o any problem, but her study permit will expire in Nov 2024 because of her passport expiration date at time of the request)
-) She is back in the US now with us for the summer break, and the plan is she returns in September to start her 2nd year, and apply for the study permit extension which will happen before the 30 days required by IRCC)
My question is: we are in the green card process (adjsutment of status to be filed very soon).....How can this affect the isssuance of her study permit extension?
When she applied last year, we mentioned she was residing in the US as a dependant on my visa
But now, how do we explain this "change of status" in the US in form IMM5709 ?
