Study permit processing, Visit visa required?

Hi

We have a visit visa due to expire next month, also a study permit in processing but might take beyond next month to finish

Should we apply to extend visitor status? Or stay in canada wait for study permit decision?

You can't apply for a visa extension if you don't have your new study permit yet..
