study permit last year but going to Canada this year

I have study permit last year and I didn’t go as planed, I deferred the course to this year, my study permit is valid so I plan to start the program this year September. That not withstanding, this is my first time entering Canada even though I have the study permit and it’s permit but I did not travel to Canada.
Do you think I can encounter any issues at border entry?

You gonna be refused entry at the Port Of Entry because your Study Permit is possibly terminated since you didn’t attend any classes since 1 year...There is also a possiblity that your home country will not allow you to travel as your stuy permit/ visa is possibly invalid by now

What do you mean? Can’t I deferred my program? And also the school accepts my deferment?

If you got permission from the college to defer your admission you would not be reported as a not attending your course and your permit wouldn't have been canceled. You are fine.

Have you read what I wrote? I never said your permit was cancelled. Actually corrected the person who said it was canceled.
