Hi everyone.
I want to apply for a study permit from Jamaica for Sept 2021 intake. Haven’t applied to any programmes yet. Any advice on putting together the applications to the schools?

I guess it depends on what your budget is. At what is your educational background is as well and how long do you want to spend studying

Yea the acceptance is pretty easy for caribbean nationals, it just depends on all the factors listed above by Kingaos

Yeah so we can't really give advice until you answer those questions but acceptance is pretty easy. I got into fanshawe 3 days after applying

No I mean how did you apply to the schools- meaning did you apply directly or have an agent or rep apply for you? What’s the prep was like?

I already have a BSC so I selected a post grad cert at centennial but haven’t initiated the process

Oh I applied directly, you don't need an agency to do it. You'll need to send your official transcript for some schools but it's ntn hard. The school shows info on how to apply once you select one. Which province are you looking to go?

Ok. I just feel really scared because I’m not sure what to do. I recently requested my transcript from uwi but still haven’t done anything

Ontario because I have an aunt there

Ok you prob should find a school and a program then work from there......some schools will actually accept your transcript if it's directly emailed from the institution.

Ok you got many options you just need to settle on a course and a school then apply..male sure it's close to your aunt cause you don't want to be travelling too far too

Oh I'm just seeing the part about Centennial....go for it. I think their application is free too. They'll accept you, my friend got thru with just cxc

Yea do as Tavia said. You don't need an agent. Also when apply for visa you can do that yourself as well.
