They are stricter than before on UAE applicants because they are all trying to come en-masse
Documents I submitted to VO Abu Dhabi:
1. All Visa forms
2. Admission Letter, bursary letter and expenditure details
3. Fees payment receipt copy
4. Bank Statement of last 4 months
5. Bank certificate addressed to Canadian Embassy showing current balance in Canadian dollars (duly signed by two officials of the branch)
6. Academic certificates copy
7. IELTS TRF copy
8. MBA Brochure
9. Personal Statement
10. PCC from Pakistan and UAE
11. Current employment certificate
12. Future employment offer from Pakistan (for home ties)
13. Wife government service certificate (Pakistan) (for home ties)
14. Passport copies of wife and child (for home ties)
15. Passport copies (all pages)
16. latest CV
17. two passport size photos

The documents clearly shows that I am going back to Pakistan after studies. Not to UAE. IT is your home ties, not UAE ties.

Hi anyone got approval for Canada study permit visa (Sep 2021 intake) those who applied from UAE. How much time it takes to get approval from IRCC.

Visa rejection for expats was maximum at that time also. Nothing has changed yet. Think it like that, why a VO should accept your visa application when you are already outside your home country? You just have to break that barrier. Your documents should convince VO that you will leave after studies.

Are you applying from Pakistan? If not, why should the visa officer even believe you will return to Pakistan if you have not been in Pakistan?

From what I've seen on this forum, most SP applications processed in Abu Dhabi/UAE that were sent by temporary residents in UAE were refused, even though some of them actually had strong cases. I encourage you to apply from your home country to avoid the risk of refusal.

Dear Tete,

I hope you are doing well.

Is there any forum which could guide how to use India/home country in the application while you are still in UAE. This is mainly linked with applying from home country meanwhile you are still in UAE.

There are three areas where you have to chose the country.

1. What is your current country/territory of Residence (This one comes while filling out the online application)

Then other two questions from IMM1294e form

2. Current Country or Territory of Residence

3. Country of Territory where applying

Hi Nadeem. I think doing so is a very bad idea as it may count as a misrepresentation which results in a 5-year ban from Canada which might be a very ugly stain on your international profile.

You need to give me a bit more information so I can advise you better but generally, if you have family living in the Emirates, that can be enough to full fill the "ties to the country" criteria. For example, in my application, I showed them my parent employment certificate, how long they have been living in the emirates, mentioned that I have siblings studying here, investments both locally and internationally, Business owned and Etc.. Generally just having family living in the emirates can be enough and I know many people that have gotten the study permit with just that. Surly if you have more then just family to prove, it could strengthen your application.
Is there any other way to show home ties in the UAE? My parents and I are living here around 35 years but my study permit got refused for showing home ties, please suggest.

A home alone isn’t a tie if you have been in UAE since 2009. Ties are your husband and family, a job, investments etc.

Can I present like I want to start a business in India or look for a better job in uae after studies , have fixed deposits in home country

This would still not be convincing enough for the infamously tough VO's of Abu Dhabi. Please let us know what degree do you currently hold and what type of degree are you seeking in Canada?

You have to stick to one plan after studies. What you are trying to say is very vague and will lead to refusal!!

Hi I hold a master of science in biology but my life of work is logistics for 12 years and hence I am going to do a MBA
