I'm now in Scarborough, Ontario naka visitor's visa palang ako na multiple entry. Will apply for my study permit pag uwi ko sa Philippines sa September. I'm applying for the winter intake. Kaka TOEFL ko lang last week, tapos when I get the results apply na ako agad sa Seneca this was a spur of the moment thing, dapat hanggang June lang ako sa north america and di ko talaga plan aral dito, but I love Toronto already! I hope I get my study permit, too! I'm very happy for you, heheannann said:Thank you!! Professional Cooking sa SAIT Calgary, Alberta. what about you? and did you apply for a student visa in manila as well? andito na ako sa canada and let me tell you, teachers here are awesome. sobrang patient and helpful nila. People here are really nice too.
Na-take ko na last week eh. It wasn't so bad, though. Parang UPCAT lang yung reading comprehension sa sobrang haba. Hahaha.annann said:TOEFL? tignan mo if the school accepts the MELAB english test because I found it way easier than TOEFL. Kase diba english natin sa pinas is more on grammar, so it's good to take a test that we're more familiar with. I hate reading comprehension naman din.
- it'll be easy to apply once you've had a canadian visa na, kase nabasa ko sa ibang posts that past travels are important din. Proves to them na financially capable ka. Thank you!!
- I heard Toronto's such a lovely city. Planning on going there baka next year!! I LOVE CANADA. Canadians are the nicest, don't you think? Bait pa ng teachers! sobra!!

I am already accepted by the university and have my student number.
But, up until now, I am still waiting for my student visa.
My medical result submitted last June 6, 2012.
villapv said:hi everyone,
i have just started reading the entries here. i am thinking of applying for a student visa as well, however, i haven't really made a decision yet on what course to take, but i want to study in calgary since my family is there. i know that my decision has to be strategic (skill should be in the 0, A, B category of the NOC) and the duration should be a minimum of 1 year for me to qualify for AINP.
does anybody know of a course related to oil, gas/petroleum (with a 1 year duration) since this is the most in demand industry in alberta? it says in the stuff i've read that once can either complete a degree, diploma or certificate to qualify for migration. i already finished a masters degree in HRM - i don't mind shifting careers at this point just so i can permanently stay in canada.
looking forward to your advice.
salamat.
