We are a family of 4 come to Canada as visitor 3 months ago. Now my kids got accepted by a secondary school here and we decided to stay. Can I apply inland SP for them? Can I restore my visitor status to accompany with the kids to settle down?

Yes, they can apply in Canada. You'll need to be prepared to pay $15,000 per year in tuition for each child.

There is no visa specific visa for parents who are accompanying children on study permits. The most you can do is continue to apply for extensions to your visitor status and hope the extensions are approved. Note that you will not be able to work and won't qualify for health care coverage while here. Make sure you take out private insurance to cover medical emergencies.

Is it a high chance that both me and my hubby got extensions of visitor status? Or just me alone have a better chance? Someone said it’s better only 1 parent to extend rather than both to avoid refusal

I would say there's a low chance for both of you to get extensions.

There's no guarantee if you try on your own. But I think the chances of that are better than both you and your husband together.

Keep in mind that study permit processing takes several months so if you are only submitting the application now, you should be targeting September for the start of your childrens' study in Canada.

Just to add, if they are minors then you need Canadian custodians. As stated, you are looking at September so pay the tuition fees and submit ASAP.

What is your question because you are posting on various threads and some are 3+ years old. So you are on a visitor visa with your family and want your kids to study in Canada?
