Study permit for a protected person

Hello,

I got accepted this February and applied for Pr since then. Still waiting for it.

I got accepted to George brown for a diploma of 1 year starting this January. I applied for OSAP which is still processing.

When i tried to apply it asked for proof of income but my osap is still not released, i have no idea what to put there, i work part time and don't have alot of money, does a letter of explanation work in this situation?

I also just realised it mighy not arrive on time. So in this case will George brown understand and let me study while i wait for it?

Without your financing or a study permit, you will likely have to defer for a semester. You would have already filed a tax return even if you only worked part-time. Depending on your age your parents assets may also be a factor.

I was thinking i might have to defer. I'm fine starting next year however if i can this January that would better. I guess it's my own fault. I did file my taxes twice and used to have a full time job, will my tax return work as proof of income?
