Study Permit for 5 Months and still waiting, Jordan

Hi everybody,
Five months ago, I applied for Study Permit to do my graduate studies in Winnipeg, Canada. So far, i haven't received any email regarding my visa, which makes me wonder about what's happening! Yes, i emailed them and they told me that it is still being processed.
Yesterday, I linked my paper application to my GCKey online profile to know if there are any updates. I'm not quite sure of my status. I need help with it, if anyone knows what it says, let me know please.

In the DETAILS it says SUBMITTED and when i press on CHECK STATUS AND MESSAGES i don't know where my application exactly is! As in, is it in Biometrics, Background check or where?
Under Application Status and Where is this application? it says the following
Application status We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Help - Review of eligibility
Review of medical results You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

As you have mentioned above so eligibility is last step and I have heard from many students that when embassy starts reviewing your eligibility then after some days result comes so wait for some days.

And also delete the above link that you have given as it is not safe to give this link to anyone.

So that’s the status of my application?? I though that it is just a givin information.
I just wanted to understand the application status? Five months gets you bored after all.

As now you have linked your paper application to your Gckey online profile so keep checking your application status as you checked and now reviewing eligibility is written. So please keep checking your status as only here status of approved is written. Approved means that you have got visa. And before your passport gets dispatched the result is written in gckey online profile. So keep checking your application status.

Elstu, Best of luck!!. for me I applied through Jordan but it has been more than 2 months since the application was submitted with upfornt medical examination.

To my knowledge, the medical exam is not a must. You should provide it just in case if they asked for it. That’s what the offices and VFS told me and my friends. However, good luck with your application, hope we get the results within the following days.

Finished mine since July 27 and still waiting but I know it's coming out by God's grace. My advice just wait if your documents are correct, enough funds,no criminal records,got accepted in an institute etc then no worries the only thing you can do is to wait have written to the embassy so many times yet still saying we are processing your application so I'll advice you be patient and wait most importantly be prayerful. We will testify soon don't worry

So I’ve applied since November for my study permit and haven’t heard much but when I called they said they’re doing a background check rn. Does anyone know how long that could take, or is it near the last step...

Also what are the numbers or emails you have used to contact them incase I’m getting the wrong response people.
