Study Permit Family name and Given name mix up. URGENT!!!!

Hello All,

I submitted my application for a study permit to Canada a few weeks ago. Shortly after, I realised that I have misprinted my given and family names. As in, my name is showing up twice on the application portal. I have submitted a web form informing IRCC about this mistake but still have not got a reply. So, I have just got some questions that I want to clarify real quick:

1) How long does it take IRCC to update this information in the application portal?

2) I have got my biometrics appointment this week, will I be able to tell the officer to update my name in the system in the correct format? As when I called up the customer service people they said I can tell the officer to change my name to the correct format.

3) Let's say my name is still not updated even after I give my biometrics. When I go to give in my passport for stamping will this be a problem?

There are many areas for NAME in your application - various forms, passport, supporting documents etc... If IRCC notices a discrepancy, they'll ask for updating. In the meantime, sit tight.

Let's say my name does not get updated in time. Will the same format be used when IRCC issue my eTA(Full name repeating twice) or do they check my passport and then issue the eTA in the format it is printed on my passport?

Hello there...
Please update me what happened did they correct it or not.. Did you got you visa.. I'm in the same situation.. My given name in passport is Nikhil Kumar and nothing in family name..
But in the application form I filled family name as Kumar and given name Niranjan...
