Study permit extention

Hi,

I recently came to Canada to attend my classes starting form Jan22.
When I applied for study visa, I applied for Sep21 intake, however later I defered my couse to Jan22 and informed about this to them via web form.
However, when I received my visa the expiry date was Sep22. It should have been after Dec22, as my 1yr course was starting in Jan22.
I wrote about this for Delhi High Commission Canada but did not get any satifactory response.

When I landed in canada, I told about it to CBSA officer and asked his to give me study permit with extended date. However he already had it printed and asked me to contact IRCC for extensiton.

Can I get this expiry date changed with an 'amendment' as this was a clarical error?
I am planning to study next year as well. So should I get a LoA for next couse and then get my study permit exteneded?
This may save me money and time doing 2 separite extensions. But not sure if I can apply for an extension before I complete my current program by end of Dec22.

Please help me out if you have gone through similar situation

Are you talking about your Study Permit or TRV? If it’s about your Study Permit, then i believe you’ll need to apply for a Study Permit Extension.

I was refering to my study permit. It expiring in month on Sep but the course is ending in the month of Dec.
If I am planning to get another LoA for new 1yr couse starting in Jan23. With this new LoA and present one, I am planning to apply to Study permit extension by Jun22.

Just wanted to make sure if I can apply for extension before completing my first 1yr course.
And secoundly, if I can combinely apply for such an extention.

Yeah you can do so now if you have the LoA for the new course, and your present one at the same time.
