Thanks for sharing your timeline. Around 68 days with a Quebec approval letter. Hopefully the processing times come down after this week's update.

Not just that, it also seems like their processing procedure is all over the place. Someone got their application approved under a month while some others are still waiting for almost 3 months. I myself has been waiting since May 24th.

I think most people who are getting faster processing are from Quebec. For some reason, a Quebec based extension is getting processed faster than others. No idea why. I thought all extensions were processed based on when you apply as opposed to which province you are studying in.

Hi Josh21,

Congratulations for your acceptance and your mail reception (and sorry for my english).

In my case :
Demand for changing the conditions of my SP (in Quebec) : 8 June.
Accepted : today (when I have checked CIC, without a message of update).

Can you tell me if the SP is sended by registered mail, or by simple letter ?
(I go to vacanties the 28 jully, and I must know if a friend can take the letter in my absence.)

Thanks.

Quebec has it's own ministry to select and approve students. CIC only checks security issues with Quebec students usually. They probably told CIC not to delay their students.

Also for the above poster, it was regular mail.
