Study Permit Extension

Hi,

I have applied for my study permit extension on May 1, I wanted to know how much time it would generally take to receive the study permit.

If there is any one who has applied and received it in the recent weeks, could you let me know how much time it took?

The max. time for online application is 63 days.

But usually it takes 14-21 days to get your ext approved .

It would be of great help if you guys could tell me what documents do u need for the application and also what financial accounts one must show, if it was for a one year extension.

My friend submitted bank statements for the last five months, NOA, sponsorship letter, sponsor's bank statements, NOA, employment letter along with pay stub and passport to prove relationship.

My friend's study permit application has been approved yesterday.

I just checked the online processing times and looks like paper applications (87 days) are getting processed faster than online applications (88 days). Based on the fact that someone who applied in April got approval, it looks like the processing times are out of date perhaps. I hope those are not the actual times and processing is a little faster!

I don't trust the processing times that posted on CIC website. CIC approved application that was submitted middle of April whereas the website shows that they are working on applications submitted on March 15.

After long 3 months of waiting!
I applied online and it says “this application has been approved)

anyway, they are so slow......

btw,
i intend to study another program right after my current program which finishes in September,
however, the level of the new program (college level, engineering) is lower than the current one (business master),
how's the odds of getting the new study permit?
any idea?
