FINALLLYYYY!!! CIC approved my study permit extension application today ;D I got the approval letter on myCIC account.
My profile:
Applied for extension: June 19
Got 4 update emails in total - 2 emails in the month of July, 1 yesterday and 1 today
Processing time: 70 days
Province: BC

I have the same situation.. I applied on June 22.. today I called probably for the 5th time and got into the Indian guy who I found was a little bit rude and told me not to call again till December 15th, that's how long it might take.. So, i'm freaking out. Thanks for the reply

I don't know what's a local office, my application was sent to operation support centre in Ottawa.

it is not in Ottawa no, it is in ontario though

leave the Indian guy alone. many agents in CIC, next time you might meet someone who is more helpful

Good Day,

The application has been received and is in queue to be processed. Further review is required. Please note that processing delays are up to 16 weeks from the date the application was initially assessed.

I came to canada 3 years ago - studied for 2 years, then got PGWP over a year ago and now i'm working. I applied for a new study permit cause I want to continue to study towards my professional designation, it's part-time studies with full-time working
