Hi,

I have submitted the request for the extension of my study permit. The waiting period is 60 days. I believe that I will be done with my studies before 60 days.

I am confused that if they reject my study permit that I am done with my studies then I can not apply for my PGWP as my study permit is not valid. Do you think that I will have no chance to apply for the study permit ever in this situation?

Please help, thanks in advance

U think too much. If ur study permit has not expired before u renew. There is no reason they reject u
Hi,

Thanks for your note. I totally agree with you. But maybe the stupidity of these CIC guys have made me abnormal. They refused my study permit recently just because I missed attaching one document (I mentioned the document in my cover letter, just missed attaching it). I mean they have all stupid reasons to reject the application, I am afraid that if they reject again, this time I will be out of status.

I am sorry for some harsh words, but its all frustration on CIC and the stupid reasons that they give.

Cheers

Sorry abt that bro, so sad that it happens all the time.

By the way, could I clarify a little bit:

- Which document did u miss attached?

- How long they returned your application ?

- When did u apply for extension? And when ur SP expires?

- Which document did u miss attached? ------ I MISSED ATTACHING THE LETTER ISSUED BY MY SCHOOL TO SUPPORT THE EXTENSION OF MY STUDY PERMIT

- How long they returned your application? - THEY TOOK LIKE TWO MONTHS TO GIVE DECISION ON EXTENDING MY STUDY PERMIT

- When did u apply for extension? And when ur SP expires? -- I APPLIED LAST WEEK, EXPIRES ON MAY 3, 2015

Oh now I understand. Since that letter is the most important document to extend ur SP, they have no choice to return ur file. Now if u have attached it with ur reapply application, u should be fine bro.

Before the day ur document expires, u should call them as u r in emergency situation, ask they whether they can process ur application faster or the solution

In the worst case, u ll have 90 days to restore ur status. So dont be worry

Good luck!
