Study permit extension

Hi Guys!!

I have a question - My study permit is expiring in April 2014 and I just got my renewed passport last week. Can I apply for the extension of the study permit next week given the fact that it is expiring in April 2014?

Also, Can I apply for a temporary resident visa (TRV) for 10 years once my study permit gets extended?

Hi there,

Will you be graduating after April 2014? If that is the case, you should apply for an extension in January 2014. Get more info using Guide 5552 from CIC website.

TRV is used for travelling outside of Canada, so you can indeed apply for a TRV but the approval depends on several conditions. Get more info from here:
