My study permit extension got refused. CIC gave these reasons:-

In your case it has been determined that you have worked in Canada without authorization, and therefore have violated a condition imposed under Regulation 183(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.

You are person in Canada without temporary resident status who is not eligible for restoration under Section 182.
You are a person without legal status and as such are required to leave Canada immediately.

Please Help Guys what to do? Can i appeal with the help of a lawyer?

There may be no point in appealing.

You'll have to give us your detailed history of working and studying in Canada. Is there a reason why CIC believes you studied without authorization?

Is there any way other than appealing? Because i cannot reapply as my study permit is expired.

It's impossible to provide you with any advice unless you provide your detailed study / work history in Canada.

I have done 1 year diploma in Business Administration from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. I have worked at Burger King and Esso Gas Station.

You need to provide a DETAILED history of your time in Canada - information such as: the dates you started and completed your studies, the dates you worked at each of your jobs and how many hours you worked during each period.

Again, impossible to help since you have provided to little information.

you did one year program and after that you took break? and then now you applied for study permit extention for new program?

It is so ridiculous when somebody asking for help but deny to provide detail info. This is one of reasons why he/she encountered this avoidable situation !

" Masters in Computer Science !! Urgent Help !! on: June 20, 2015, 02:21:25 pm
I have recently completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science with 70% from India. I am planning to apply into these universities for winter 2016 intake :-

1. Carleton University (Masters in Computer Science - Coursework)
2. University of Victoria (Masters in Computer Science - Coursework)
3. University of Windsor (Master of Applied Computing)
4. NYIT Vancouver (Masters in Information Network and Computer Security)

Please help me decide which university is better and chances for admission are good. I have not shortlisted UofRegina or UofSaskatechewan because getting IT job in those provinces is pretty difficult. I want to go either with Ontario or BC as BC and Ontario are offering PNP without job offer for post graduate candidates."

and all other posts goes in line with that. I'm confused about your story. combining that with the rejection reason:
"You are person in Canada without temporary resident status who is not eligible for restoration under Section 182."
It looks like Loveneet applied for TRV May 2015, came to canada, started working with no authorization. then applied for study permit extension without having a study permit in the first place.
I might be wrong, please correct me if so
people who applied for study permit extension (including myself) currently facing processing delays and are stressed out enough with their life on the line. I thought i would post what i found out for the sake of stressed out applicants. This case doesn't look like a legit study permit extension refusal

If it is true that you WORKED WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, then there is no need for help. You need to leave immediately.

CIC always check SIN records to see if you were working or not.

So, if you were working without authorization, you will have to leave as you will be denied extension.

and if you don't leave in a timely manner, there may be a possibility of an exclusion order issued against your name. Always keep your paperwork in order.

I worked only part time i.e 20 hours per week during my study and work full time during my break. My academic session was from September to April.

if you worked after finishing your program in april, so its the problem, because you can not work if you finished your program of study and waiting for your nex study permit extention, you have to stop working if your study permit extenton file is under process and your study is finished.
