I am a international student residing in Quebec. I've applied to extend my study permit two months ago (march 31st) and yesterday it was refused due to lack of a document which I've uploaded using IRCC online form but the officer didn't get! Anyway, I talked to a CIC representative and he said that they are going to send all the files I uploaded to the officer for reconsideration. Today I got an email saying that all files are transferred to the responsible office.
It's hard because I was just about to submit my thesis and I just started a job. Now I have to stop studying and working while waiting for their decision.
I was wondering if someone else has gone through this process? Does anybody know how long will it take?
