I applied in 9 of March and also received today an email from IRCC and I got a correspondence letter which makes me feel concerned because not always that happens. Crossing fingers to get a positive response promptly.
Update:

I just checked my account. My application was approved.

Good luck!
Congratulations! So, you guys have got your approvals during the labour strike... Interesting! Where are you from, did you guys applied through non-SDS?
By the way I applied for study permit on 13th of March, but haven't received neither medical request nor correspondence letter.

Oh, sorry, I didn't notice this, but still, I am wondering if any documents would be processed, whether it's study permit extension or any other document, in the current situation where we are on strike and no one is sure if anything is being processed right now.

Unfortunately no one knows that :/ I heard about application less important still being processed (like study, work and visitor visa) and these are being processed by temporary immigration officers which they are not in strike while whose work as permanent officers full time (process mostly of permanent residences) are in strike.

applied on december 5 for sp extension with sowp extension and sp extension for child. even the eligibility review hasnt started. it's been 5 months! and some ppl say their appl. was approved in a much shorter time. :(
