Application submitted and background check started - 7th April
Study permit expired- 5th May
Correspondence letter and review of eligibility started- 21st May
Application Approved- 26th May
(It says background check was completed on 7th April and eligibility on 21st May)

me. Applied Feb 12 and nothing so far. Had to postpone the intake from May to September. urghhh
I applied on 29th April and got the biometric correspondence today. Pretty much the same timeline. Let us know when you get any update, I’ll also share mine.

My study permit extension along with my husband open work permit extension is approved today. I applied on May 1,2020 and received biometric validity correspondence this morning and approval an hour ago. It was very quick as the processing time showed 112 days when I filed my application.
That was VERY quick, congratulations! I just hope the February applications don't follow the pattern of last November's ones.
By the way, did you get an email or did you just check your account?

But they extended my study permit for s shorter time than the duration of my studies. Is that normal? Did it happened with anyone else? My program ends in 2023, but they only extended my permit until 2021.

Does your passport expire? That's the only reason I can see for a shorter time frame, unless something was strange in your proof of the duration of studies.
No, my passport will only expiry in 2030.
My LoA cleary showed that my program will end in 2023. It's so weird. I wonder if there's any way to request reconsideration or something like that.
I didnot receive email for approval. I checked gckey account. Do you know how many days they take to send passport request after approval?
How long did it take for you to receive study permit letter from them in your mail? Did you have to send passport?
