Hi!
Just to give an update for you.
Some days ago I saw the message here saying that they stopped reviewing the permits. This is not entirely true.
My study permit was approved (I applied for a new one).
Applied 15th November and it was approved yesterday.
I just received the e-mail update today.

SDS based?

6 months? thats incredible. I applied for extension on Jan 6, I will be finishing soon and want to apply for PGWP while on a valid study permit. I'm currently on implied status and If I apply for a PGWP while on implied that means I Can not work until I get the PGWP?

Dear god this is a big mess

I have applied for study permit extension on 22nd November 2019 . Still in process. I need it before may 2020 . Hope it will get approved within 1/2 weeks .

it definitely is... i am not sure how this all works out with a pgwp. But it looks like they are working on applications. Maybe someone else has an answer to that.

Hi everyone,

Here is some good news, I think. I applied on 12/12 and I just received an email that they accepted my biometrics and that they started reviewing my eligbility. I think it says something like "we will let you once once we start reviewing your eligibility" for everyone else, is that correct?

So they are definitely working on the applications.

So has anyone else from November 17th gotten a response?

They have begun processing PGWP and inland work permit extension applications, and I assume those are all processed in the same center.

Please update if/when you notice an update on your application. I applied November 20th and need it to apply for PGWP.

Hello! Do u have any idea that can we apply for the coop work permit without having new study permit in hands? My study permit expired on November 30 and waiting for the new one but in May my coop is going to start. So I am stressed what is happening here...
Thank you

You need Letter for work permit which should have been given to you in Admission. IT will take some time to be processed as well.

This was posted a few seconds before my post above. I think they are back to reviewing biometrics, which is a good albeit a small sign that they are processing. Hope it moves quicker now. The stress of not knowing your date is a little crippling.

I have a letter from my college but I don’t have valid study permit for this. So don’t know what to do?
Thank you

MY STUDY PERMIT EXTENSION JUST GOT APPROVED!!! No letter or email yet, I just logged in for fun. I applied on 12/12 so not sure why I got it approved so fast. Fingers crossed for everyone else to get it fast!

This is interesting. When did you apply again?

Not sure why they are skipping the rest of November though? When did you submit your biometrics?
