hello, Im a US citizen have been in Canada for more than 1.5 years living with my common law partner. I have finished 2 semesters of full time study, but here’s where it gets tricky. My study permit is valid until December 1st 2018. So about a month left from now until it expires. During semester 1 I withdrew from a math class because I had so many other classes and math is my weakest subject so I wanted to finish everything else and come back to school after my second semester to finish the class and receive my Ontario college certificate. The course ends about 14 days after my study permit expires and I have about 1 month left of school. The wait times online seem to be pretty long at the moment and I fear that if I apply to extend my status as a student and I complete my studies while on implied status I fear it will cause problems with applying for my PGWP. In this case would it be easier to flagpole to extend my study permit to avoid complications with my pgwp?

Dont really know about flagpolling for study permit but studying on implied status wont cause any pgwp issues, but you need SP to apply for PGWP.

You could have applied 2 month ago then you would be pretty sure to get it on time.
