I’m hoping to get some insight from others who have gone through a similar situation!

Here are my application details:
  • Application Type: Study Permit Extension (Inside Canada)
  • Application Submitted: February 5, 2025
  • Correspondence Letter Received: March 21, 2025
  • Current Status (Final Decision): "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made."
  • Biometrics: Already on file from 2021
  • Study Permit and Visa Expiry Date: April 30, 2025
After receiving the correspondence letter on March 21, Do you know how much time it takes for the approval?
For those who’ve received a correspondence letter, how long did it take to get your approval after that?
Once approved, how long does it take to get your visa stamp (if applicable)?

I'm a bit anxious since my current permit and visa expire on April 30, 2025, so any advice or sharing of timelines would be really helpful!
Only two three days

Hello everyone,

We got the correspondence letter yesterday, and approval today. Applied on July 15, 2024.

I have a question. My husband is the main applicant graduating in April 2025. He got approval for both a study permit starting with U, and a work permit starting with F. What does that mean? We were thinking that he would only have a study permit. Thanks !

Hi!
No one else getting decisions on your applications? Last message here is March 28.

I have applied for SP + SOWP extenson October 25, 2024, still nothing.
Anyone else from this period? I saw a lot of people from June, July, and August..

Hi,
SP + SOWP + 2 children
Applied: May 11, 2024
Gost Letter: May 12, 2024
1st Correspondence Letter: Nov 7, 2024
2nd Correspondence Letter: March 15, 2025
3rd Correspondence Letter: April 11, 2025
Approval: April 15, 2024
All of this useless because I had to apply to PGWP in Maintained Status on December 1st, 2024. No updates in this last one!
I have no words for unreasonable delayed processing times.
Good luck for the ones waiting! We’ll have to get used to waiting until we have the PR.
