Hi, guys
I am a international student currently studying in Canada. About 3 months ago, I applied for my Study Permit Extension since my old Study Permit was going to expire on April 13, 2015. I started an application on MyCIC and I got a new Study Permit. But to my surprise, the new expiry date on my new Study Permit is even sooner(14 days sooner) than my previous one, which is on March 30, 2015. I made several calls to the CIC and the lady who answered the phone said she had sent an email to the immigration office and told me to wait for the answer.
Today I call the CIC again and still there is no good news, but the lady suggested me to apply for status restoration since I must restore my status in 90 days, that being said I should pay for the application fee again and take the risk of being rejected.
Does anyone have a similar experience with me? I do not know whether it was a typo or it is their decision that I can not stay in Canada longer, but I have not completed my school yet.
Any suggestions? guys.
Thank you in advance.
