Study Permit Denied. PLEASE READ!

I had previously submitted an application for EAP (English for Academic Purposes) with the end goal of receiving a Diploma in Accounting. I work for the Ministry in Kurdistan Iraq. My application was denied under the grounds of family ties. I do have a brother here in Canada but he was sponsored by his wife.

GCSM notes state - The client is Single,Mobile, is not well established and has no dependents.

Seems that my brother residing in Canada is not the issue at all.
I provided a letter from my bank confirming USD 40k in my Bank. A letter of upgrade from my employer/ pledging my return and job oppertunity under their new English Branch. I will be returning to work under the English Department once I get my Diploma. I am an Accounting Assistant and have been employed for over 10 years with the Ministry. This new branch requires I get diploma / certification under an English program as this will be one of the very few English only Branches in Erbil Iraq. This certification cannot be recieved in Iraq. I was divorced but have custody of my son here in Iraq. I am 35. I did not show proof of property but I do have one. I have re-married as of Janurary 2022. I will provide this as well. I had thought my pledge from employer was enough but do you have any advice ?

Your profile is complicated due to your age, the fact you want to purse a low level diploma in Canada, and the fact that your brother is already here.

If you are going to reapply, provide proof of the following:
- evidence you are married and state that your spouse is not coming with you to Canada
- evidence that you have a son and have custody of him (and say that he's also not coming with you to Canada)
- evidence of property ownership
- evidence of any previous travel to countries requiring visas such as the US or UK
- also make sure you declare all visa refusals (including the one you just received from Canada)
- write an better LOE to explain why you are coming all the way to Canada to complete this program vs. doing this in a country in your region

I have not traveled elsewhere. I'd love to enroll in a program that would help me complete my studies within the country but unfortunately these do not exist and only in Kurdish. I need an English program. I would be going to Mohawk College Hamilton ON. Would my brother really be an issue ? Doesn't state that at all in the GCSM notes. My English is excellent

Can I ask why you applied for EAP if your English is excellent? I'm not sure I understand that.

You can't do anything about your travel history. You need to focus on your ties to your home country and your reasons for studying in Canada.

While my English is self taught and i consider it great im sure there are areas i will struggle or might that be the best in a social setting. There is still room for improvement. I took EAP first as a way to certify my English when pursuing a career that requires advanced English language skills. This Accounting position i have been offered requires professional English.

If you already have all this accounting experience all you need is an English course and there are English courses available in Iraq. Given the large number of young men and families leaving Kurdistan to claim asylum or immigrate it will be very difficult to convince IRCC that you are going to spend your lifesavings to study in Canada and return to Kurdistan. I also fail to understand why there is a whole English branch for accounting and not just employees who can help if someone only speaks English.
