Hello, I applied to the study permit on October 15 and submitted my biometrics on October 17.
After that my application changed to this:

Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: October 17, 2019 Completed.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

It's been 4 weeks since I submitted my biometrics and my application is still at background check, my university starts on January 6 and I'm worried my study permit takes too long. On the website, it states that the processing time is 6 weeks.

I'm applying from Lebanon.

Does anyone have any idea what stage I'm at? Or how long it might take from here?

Hi , the status shown for your visa process is the very same shown on my dashboard, just that the medical part shows its currently under review , its been almost 2 months 13 days since my submission online , I have checked each and every document and procedure so that everything is in place , Hoping for the best, Insha'Allah..
