I want to apply for PhD scholarship in various English Speaking Countries. Canada is one of my options. I was searching for universities in Canada and I felt a bit disappointed to see that now universities do require application fee of average $100 from international students. I just wondered why is that so. I mean now lets suppose if I want to apply in 10 universities, then paying application fees to all these 10 universities would cost me a large amount.

I am not sure if same is the case with each university...

Can anyone name universities where application fee is not required

yes you are right the cost get very high due to application fees only. I have two names try this university, University of Canada west, New York institute of technology, Vancouver,CA; as this list is given by consultancy service, in that this two university application is waived off. So just go through this university website for more details.

I don`t know that they are calling or not but one guy got a call from visa officer regarding details of his job and also they called his company to verify. So may be it depends on our file or something else..

@zammy123 Presume you were not asked to do a medical.
Any one here have completed their medicals and still waiting. How long does it take after medical.
If a request for medical is received does it imply that all is well with documents and visa can be expected subject to medicals.

@sachu252..About that guy I told you, he got call around 3 PM. He applied on 19th june, I dont know from which office his file is being processed but his status updated on 7th july. But they are not calling everyone as if they want to more detail or verify something then only they are calling.
