Hello everyone, especially you future Albanian students who want to study in Canada. I don't guarantee that it will be a piece of cake, and I personally have made plans since 2018, when I was in High School, regarding my studies in Canada. It wasn't a last-minute thing. Maybe things will change in the future, but for now, I can give you a little hope or peace of mind. First of all, I studied very hard the last year because my GPA was under 3.0, and I used to stay at home all day at the University just so I could make it, and eventually, it paid off. Only 6 out of 30 students graduated, including me ofc. The rest failed the exams and couldn't graduate; some had to retake the last year.
Regarding IELTS, I achieved a 7 Band Overall (7 speaking, 6 reading, 7 Listening, and 7.5 writing) certainly, it wasn't easy, but I had to study for at least 2 hours a day or more for the IELTS exam. There are many materials on the internet if you want to take IELTS. If you don't achieve your desired score the first time, maybe give it another shot after a month or two. You might be anxious the first time, just like me. I also failed the first time. So don't worry.
Finding your desired college or university. If you have a 3.0 GPA or (Minimumi Shtate ne disa shkolla mund te jete dhe 7.5 minimumi ne disa te tjera, shikojeni vete) and if you have a good IELTS score of at least 6.5 Overall and not less than 6 in other sections then you are good to go. Extracurriculars help as well. You might need some references from your teachers or professors, and sometimes it might be 3 or 2. Be prepared. Every document that isn't in English must be translated and notarised. Sometimes you might be required to write an essay or a statement of intent before applying, and I suggest writing between 800-1000 words unless otherwise stated. It will probably take a month just to apply, maybe less. However, I waited for 4 months for a decision, and lucky me, I was accepted. For you, it could take days, weeks, or maybe months. So, again, be patient. (I duruari, i fituari themi ne .
After you get accepted, you will have to see if the Letter of acceptance is conditional or unconditional. I received an unconditional letter, but if you have a conditional letter from the school, read it and see what it says. Sometimes they might require you to send other documents, pay a fee, or something else. After that, you need to apply for a study permit, and I suggest doing it through the new IRCC portal. To apply, you need at least 10,000 CAD (those 10k should be at least for 4 months in your bank account) + tuition for the first year; ideally, it would be better to have enough money for the whole duration in Canada, but we know that that is sometimes impossible for some, including me. You also need a photocopy of your original passport and all pages that have stamps, a photocopy of your ID card, and proof of funds (just a bank statement is enough, and if you ask at the bank, they might issue it in English, so you don't have to translate it) and last but not least even though it's not required you need to include an SOP and you can upload other documents like birth certificate and criminal records and school diplomas or degrees along with it. Attention: Be careful all documents must not exceed 2MB. You might have to compress the pdf file.
SOP or statement of purpose. It's like a letter. You write about who you are, where did you go to school, and what great things you did, haha; you talk about your degree, school of choice, why Canada, why this degree will be beneficial to you, and please don't forget to state that you will return BACK to your country. DON'T LIE; YOU CAN'T OUTSMART THEM, AND YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN TRY IT BECAUSE YOU COULD BE BANNED FROM CANADA FOR FIVE YEARS. If you have a previous refusal/s, then write about it. Tell everything truthfully.
I applied on November 11th, 2022, and received nothing, not a single massage for 13 days. If you have already applied and are feeling anxious, don't worry; I know how you feel because I used to check my IRCC account 20+ times daily. On November 24th, I received an email from IRCC, and I was a little afraid, to be honest, but I opened my account, and I jumped and almost hurt myself. I couldn't believe it. They approved my application. Attention: If it is your first application ever for Canada, you must go to Visa Application Center (sa hyn ne ish-Bllok, aty ngjit ambsades se Zvicres, Hyni ne google maps dhe e gjeni, ne katin e 3 eshte). You will see an original passport request, and you will open it and print it and take it with you to VAC, together with your passport.
The next day I sent my passport through VAC, and if it's your first-time application, you won't be paying anything, but if it is your 2nd or 3rd application and has already given biometrics before then, you will have to pay 75.10 EUR to Intesa San Paolo Bank. They will give you the instructions. You will have to wait maybe a week or 2 or 3 max for the Passport to come back. You will know when it comes back because you will know when it's ready for collection.
If you need help with anything, I will do it for free (ALBANIANS ONLY)
GOOD LUCK!
