Nobody here can of course predict anything but this should not stop you from applying for a permit using the online option. Seems unlikely they will continue to ban travel into the country for such a long time given the economy simply could not recover without air travel. It may well be mandatory isolation will still be required and maybe social distancing for some time. It is obviously impossible to predict any what ifs so can only go with what is known now which only has restrictions through June 30.

Also as sure you are aware the press like to create sensational headlines and speculation so should only refer to official sources such as IRCC. In fact not even rely on advice here without fact checking IRCC
I have a question while filling out my Study Permit application form they asked this
Why is your family member visiting Canada? (required)
My Dad wants to escort me to Canada since I'm considered a minor.
What should my answer be?

Me I got an admission for my master degree starting in fall 2020 and I want to apply for visa but because of the situation related to covid 19 I understood that many of canadians centers where students permits application are processed are now closed until further notice. Moreoever canada have closed their borders since March. So I wonder how I will be able to travel do my master there ? Maybe in january 2021 it will be possible I hope.

I have gotten admission into conestoga college in Ontario for fall 2020 intake. I am yet to apply for student visa. My fears are that will the visa application be processed considering covid 19? Then will I be forced to remain in my country and take online classes after paying so much?

I am applying for a student visa for fall 2020.
My university intake for January 2021 has been cancelled so the next available would be 2021.
If I don’t get the student visa before the starting date (early September 2020) what is going to happen?
can I start from home or can I start once I receive the visa or worst, do I need to wait for the next intake?
Thanks

honestly speaking no one knows what's going to happen because we aren't getting any updates regarding student visa from Embassy, so all we can do is to wait for any update...

Firstly, It depends as some colleges/universities allows to start classes without visa and some don't untill you have a approved visa so they will ask you to submit the study permit before starting the class. You should consult with your university about that.

Secondly, It is risky to start your classes without valid study permit as you won't get a full refund if your visa is refused. So safe option is to defer. Its totally on you if you think your visa won't be refused then you can start if the university allows or else just a month before your college start date apply for deferral as till then you will get the clarity about your visa that whether it will take more time or not.

I was admitted in may 2020 and deferred to September 2020 in april and visa was still in process.
