Study permit - applied online (Singapore)

Hi, does anyone know if it makes a difference which country I currently reside in if I applied online? I live in Singapore and it says the average processing time is 5 weeks, is this estimate valid for online applicant as well? Or only for paper application that was submitted via VFS office in Singapore?

Also, does anyone know the average processing time for online application? I submitted my application on 19 July, but need to arrive in Canada by 28 August, is this possible?

if your application is complete, you should receive a request to submit your passport on/before 23 Aug, most probably before. Passport processing time is usually 3 business days.

Hi Haleys,

I submitted through visa office in Singapore on July 11th and linked it online on July 16th. I think the 5weeks processing period is for both online and paper-based.. anyways, had you submitted upfront medical?

Hi Niceo, yeah I have submitted an upfront medical and police clearance, just wanted to make sure that I have everything completed since the timeline is tight.

Thanks PCR3! I hope you're right, just getting a bit nervous reading stories in this forum.. haha.

Hi Haleys,

Sad news for me, I got refused today.

But there is no letter yet, still hopeful that it would be overwrite.

When did you apply and when were you refused? What are the grounds of the refusal?
