STUDY PERMIT APPLICATION REJECTED! Help me please!

I applied for a study permit for my brother. He's 19 years of age. Provided all the documents, although without any notes or personal statement (as it was optional and we didn't see any reasons fit).

The application was rejected! Why? Purpose of Visit! That's it. What does that even mean? They were not convinced I'd leave Canada upon the end of my stay.

I want to re-apply and this time detailing out the reasons for my full stay and reasons for my choosing the uni and major in Canada.

But how do I go about it this time? What even made them believe I would not leave upon completing my stay?

Can they predict the future or what because I'm actually very frustrated right now as this makes ZERO sense.

Someone please help guide me.

How do I share my profile? You mean basically just type out the details of my application?

I applied about 1st of July and received the refusal on the 2nd of August.
You should just apply for CAIPS before applying for study permit again. What is the point of getting rejected again? CAIPS report will have the detailed notes written by the visa officer. I was rejected 2 times and made the mistake of not appying for caips. now, I have applied for it. Just takes $15 to apply.

That's what I asked. How do I post the full profile? Do I just type out the details you asked for?

Basically the sponsor is our parents, and we have more than enough funds. In the refusal nothing else was checked to be a problem except purpose of visit. I didn't attach a SOP so I assume that would be the issue here.

Otherwise please do let me know how to give you the contents of the profile so you would have a better understanding.

What exactly is CAIPS? Is that the Access to Information file? Also how long would it take to receive?

I am in a bit of urgency to re-apply but I want to make sure I have all the bases covered.

Apologies to anyone for the layman questions.

I just don't understand how could you submit your visa without SOP. It is mandatory. You cannot expect an officer to have a look at all your documents and predict your future plans?

Now your rejection letter will only have a generic reason for refusal, if he had picked the Purpose of visit, it is quite obvious that there was no supporting document explaining that your intention is to come back to your home country. You should apply for CAIPS notes. If you know someone in Canada ask them to do it for you it will cost $5.00. If not you can apply it through third parties won't cost you more than $15.00. These notes will have detailed reasons on your rejection.

Work on those reasons and then re-apply. Also share your profile. means just write down how qualified are you with % what college did you apply for what was the duration and where did you apply. What documents did you attach etc.

I take it then that could be the only reason why. I'll draft out a SOP for my reapplication then.

I applied to SFU in Vancouver. Specifically FIC (Fraser Int'l College) which is a pathway to SFU. A branch per se.

The documents I attached were the usual required documents which are the forms you fill out. A bank statement with about $20k CAD. Family information, and the letter of acceptance to FIC.

yes, it is the access to information file. It takes 30 days to receive. You can apply for study permit if you are in a hurry but I would suggest that you also apply for CAIPS. In 30 days, you will get to know both the things. either you will get the study permit and if you don't then atleast you will know why you were rejected the first time. If you get the visa then just ignore the CAIPS report. There is no harm in spending $15 for CAIPS when you are already so much on the study permit.

caips reports seems useless to me, I ordered 2 times and even applied for visa post reviewing caips reports.
I didn't make any effect in the decision of the officer

I think my best alternative right now is to defer to the January intake. It's already kinda too late for September when classes begin in a month.

yes, its late for sept. Jan is the best option but also apply for caips now so you can get it by 2nd week of sept and then based on it, you can prepare docs and explaination

Thanks I'll apply for CAIPS asap. I believed it was called ATIP in previous times, I'm only hearing CAIPS recently.
