Study Permit Application from Oman

Hi, I am an Indian and have applied for a study permit from Oman. I have applied in mid Jan but still got no update on my application. Is there anyone who has applied for a study permit from Oman? Please respond...really nervous!

P.S - I have shown sufficient funds and even though I have not applied from my home country(India), I have mentioned clearly in LOI that my intentions are to return back to India. I have been to the US for studies earlier and have returned back to Oman after my course. I am hoping the visa officers take this as an example that my intentions are not to immigrate to Canada!

Anybody in the same boat? Please respond!

Hi, I have a similar situation like yours. After finishing my master's degree in Japan , I entered into Turkey because my mom and siblings had been living here for 1 year. I have been living here for the past six months after my graduation from Japan. Now, my question is how did you prove your ties with the country of residence , specifically, what documents did you show? Thank you

They expect you to prove ties with your home country and not the country of residence. In my case, I mentioned about the job prospects in my home country after my course. Also, showing documents of properties and fixed assets back home helped I think.
