Study permit application from Malaysia as a NRI

Hi,

I am an Indian citizen working in Malaysia for past 4 years as a QA engineer and have a valid employment pass. I completed my B.tech in CSE in 2015 from India and got an acceptance from uOttawa in Engineering Management. I will be applying for my study permit from Malaysia(Country of residence). I am having difficulty in preparing my ties to my home country and fear refusal due to my immigration status(looking at other profiles here in this forum).

What all documents can I show for ties to my home country(India)? I don't own any property, just have my family in India.

Applying from a country where one's residency is temporary, is tricky. You will need to prove that there are employment prospects for you in India post graduation.

Are you going for a Master's Program?

As it's going to be a 2-year course having an upfront employment offer is clearly not possible.
